CTM: Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing -Beauty in 3 steps!

Everyday the skin accumulates dust, make-up, perspiration and bacteria - prolong exposure of which can block the pores of the skin.
CTM can help you keep your skin clean, hydrated, and protected.
Note: If using market products, choose according to skin type

Cleansing
1) Splash your face with warm water to open the pores.
2) a) Dip a small cotton ball in 1 tbsp of un-boiled milk and gently clean your face in light upward and outward strokes. You will see the dirt that accumulates on the cotton, once you have thoroughly cleaned your face. Pay particular attention on areas that have open pores like the nose, neck and ear lobes. Repeat the process if needed till the cotton is clean and has no dirt on it. Wash with cold water.
b) Another way is to mix Besan (Bengal gram), milk cream and turmeric into a paste and massage it all over the face. This removes the dead cells present on the outer layers of the skin, rejuvenates it and cleans it completely. Allow it to remain on for about 10 minutes, then massage and just splash on cold water to remove, as it will act as an astringent and close the pores.

Toning
A toner removes any residual greasiness still left on the skin from your make-up or your cleansing product and helps tighten your skin, close the pores and form a layer of healthy skin cells, and protects the skin from harmful toxins, dirt and pollution. It also helps restore the skin’s natural PH balance.
Rose water is the best natural toner for all skin types. Optionally, a very diluted solution of green tea refrigerated works as effective toner.
Apply toner using cotton ball in upward and outward strokes same as cleansing
If buying toner from market, avoid toners with alcohol as it destroys the collagen present under the surface of the skin.

Moisturizing
This is important as a well-moisturized skin is soft and supple, reflects a healthy glow and ages less quickly. All skin types need moisturizing including oily skin type. Hence it is essential to choose a moisturizer according to skin type. A moisturizer with SPF 15 can help against sun damage.
When it comes to moisturizing there are few things that you should know. One important aspect is sleep as that’s the time there is no outside influences to bother the skin. So, every night a nourishing cream or natural moisturizing paste must be smoothed upwards over the face and from the chin downwards to relax tight muscles and accelerates circulation.
One of the best natural moisturizer to apply in the night and sleep is almond oil. Put a few drops on your hand and apply it on your face.
Apply moisturizer using your finger tips. Don’t apply too much moisturizer, as this will just sit heavily, and prevent your skin from breathing and will lead to clogged pores and blackheads.

CTM should be done twice a week and hardly takes 15-20 minutes.
